Bukit Kepong

Again with my cheap camera, travelling and leisure-driving along the Malaysian country side. We had one day decided to travel around Johor and since we are not familiar with Johor we had then bought a Johor map as a guide to our destination.
One of the location that we had stopped is a ‘Tragic History Place’ called BUKIT KEPONG.
History of Bukit Kepong
History of the incident in Bukit Kepong took place on 23/2/1950 between the police and the Malayan Communist in pre-independence Malaya. This conflict took place in an area surrounding the BUKIT KEPONG police station and the wooden station was located on the river banks of the Muar River which is about 59km from Muar town, Johor. It is a quiet town and at the time when we arrived at the Police Station of Bukit Kepong it was raining…but we manage to take some photos for sharing purpose. The wooden police station now had been rebuild as per the above photo.
